WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

1) Warranty overview

Goldfields Campers & Caravans (“Goldfields”, “we”, “us”) warrants that workmanship and components supplied and fitted by Goldfields will be free from manufacturing defects for 12 months from the date of collection, unless otherwise stated below.

This warranty applies to camper trailers, pod campers, hybrid caravans and caravans supplied by Goldfields.

This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Nothing in this document excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantees under the ACL.

2) Structural warranty – 5 years (Goldfields build)

Goldfields provides a 5-year structural warranty covering structural failure caused by a manufacturing defect under normal use, including:

  • Chassis

  • Drawbar

  • Structural steel

  • Welds

  • Suspension mounting points

  • Frame integrity

Exclusions apply (see “What is not covered”).

3) General warranty – 12 months (Goldfields workmanship)

Covers manufacturing and assembly performed by Goldfields, including:

  • Body construction

  • Composite & alloy panel assembly

  • Internal fit-out

  • Plumbing installation

  • Electrical installation (Goldfields-installed wiring and workmanship)

  • Cabinetry

  • Doors, hatches, locks, seals

  • Windows

  • Steps and stabiliser legs

  • Rock sliders & external accessories supplied/fitted by Goldfields

  • Tent/canvas/awning/zips/mesh (manufacturing defects only)

  • Gas installations (Goldfields-installed)

  • Internal fittings & fixtures

Canvas / vinyl note: Canvas, zips, mesh, stitching and vinyl are not covered for wear and tear, weather exposure, UV degradation, mould, accidental tearing, or damage caused by misuse/impact.

4) Electrical & power system (manufacturer warranties)

Goldfields fits a Renogy off-grid system. Manufacturer warranties apply to these components and claims may need to be handled through the manufacturer or their authorised agent (Goldfields will assist where possible):

Renogy Lithium Batteries (RBT Series — 100Ah / 200Ah / 300Ah)

  • 5-year prorated warranty (per Renogy terms)

Renogy 3000W REGO / RIV Inverter Charger

  • 1-year warranty (materials & workmanship)

Renogy 150A AC Charger

  • 1-year warranty

Renogy 50A DC-to-DC Charger

  • 1-year warranty

Renogy Smart Distribution / Switching Box

  • up to 5-year warranty (model dependent)

Renogy Solar Panels / Solar Blankets

  • 5–10 year product warranty (model dependent)

  • up to 25-year performance warranty (model dependent)

Note: Warranty periods and conditions may vary by model and supplier updates. Goldfields recommends confirming the current manufacturer warranty terms at time of purchase/collection.

5) Refrigerator warranties (manufacturer)

  • MyCoolman 78L Dual-Zone Fridge/Freezer: 3-year warranty; up to 5-year compressor warranty (per manufacturer terms)

  • Companion 100L Fridge/Freezer (Adventure Operations): 3-year manufacturer warranty

6) Air conditioner warranty (manufacturer)

  • MyCoolman Air Conditioner: 2-year manufacturer warranty

7) Dust Reduction System warranty (manufacturer)

  • Milenco Dust Reduction System (DRS): 2-year manufacturer warranty

8) Heating systems (manufacturer)

  • AutoTerm Diesel Heater: 2-year manufacturer warranty

  • Generic diesel heater (where fitted): 1-year manufacturer warranty

9) Hot water systems (manufacturer)

  • Truma Hot Water Service (Gas + 240V): 2-year manufacturer warranty

  • Arana Instant Gas Hot Water System: 1-year manufacturer warranty

  • Smarttek Hot Water System (Campers & Pods): 1-year manufacturer warranty

10) Toilet systems (manufacturer)

  • Thetford Portable Toilets (145 / 365 etc.): 3-year manufacturer warranty (per manufacturer terms)

11) What is not covered

This warranty does not cover faults or damage caused by:

  • Accident, collision, impact or road hazard damage

  • Misuse, negligence, abuse, or failure to follow operating instructions

  • Overloading, incorrect towing setup, or use outside design limits

  • Water ingress caused by open windows/vents, lack of maintenance, or aftermarket modifications

  • Storm, hail, flood, fire, salt exposure, corrosion, or other natural events

  • Unauthorised repairs, alterations, or modifications (including non-Goldfields accessories fitted incorrectly)

  • Commercial hire, rental, fleet or business use (unless agreed in writing)

Wear items and consumables are excluded, including (but not limited to):

  • Tyres, brake pads, wheel bearings

  • Shock absorbers, suspension bushes

  • Gas struts, light globes

  • Seals, filters

12) Warranty claim process

If you believe a warranty claim is required:

  1. Contact Goldfields as soon as possible.

  2. Provide clear photos/videos and a detailed description (including when the issue started).

  3. Goldfields will assess whether the issue relates to:

    • Goldfields workmanship; or

    • a component manufacturer warranty.

  4. All repairs must be pre-approved in writing by Goldfields before any work is carried out.

The unit must be returned to Goldfields for assessment unless Goldfields provides written approval for an alternative inspection/repair arrangement.

For interstate/remote customers, Goldfields may supply replacement parts for self-fit or local installation where appropriate.

13) Transport & recovery

This warranty does not cover:

  • Transport or towing costs

  • Recovery fees

  • Travel or accommodation expenses

  • Call-out charges

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for returning the unit to Goldfields.

14) Transferability

This warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable if the unit is sold, unless otherwise required by law.

15) Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.


Goldfields Service Guide
To maintain your camper in top condition, we recommend the following service intervals. These can be carried out by Goldfields Campers or a qualified mechanic. The 1,000km check may be completed by mechanically minded owners using our checklist.

1,000km Post-Delivery Check – $250

Your camper’s first run-in check to catch any settling or early wear.
This includes:

  • Visual inspection of all nuts, bolts, and fasteners

  • Undercarriage check for signs of stress or movement

  • Wheel nut torque check

  • Tyre condition and pressure check

  • Basic brake operation check

  • Inspection of wiring and connections

  • Gas fittings and lines visually inspected

  • General check for leaks, rubbing cables, or loose panels

Can be completed by the owner if mechanically confident.

🔧 10,000km Full Maintenance Service – $599

Recommended every 10,000km to maintain safety, performance, and warranty coverage.
Service includes:

  • Repack and grease wheel bearings

  • Grease suspension arms and pivot points

  • Adjust brakes (electric, handbrake, drum/shoe clearance)

  • Check wheel alignment, tyre wear, pressure, and re-torque lug nuts

  • Inspect camber/caster bolts and alignment

  • Check and grease coupling, hitch, and jockey wheel

  • Inspect shock absorbers for leaks or damage

  • Check undercarriage for damage, or loose mounts

  • Safety chain and breakaway cable inspection

Note: If you're travelling off-road or on challenging 4WD tracks, it's your responsibility to ensure the camper is in safe working condition before departure.
