GOLDFIELDS CAMPERS & CARAVANS

WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS

Goldfields Campers & Caravans warrants that all components manufactured, assembled, or fitted by Goldfields are free from defects for 12 months from the date of collection. This warranty applies to all camper trailers, pod campers, hybrid caravans, and caravans.

This warranty works alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.

1. STRUCTURAL WARRANTY – 5 YEARS

Goldfields provides a 5-year structural warranty covering:

  • Chassis

  • Drawbar

  • Structural steel

  • Welds

  • Suspension mounting points

  • Frame integrity

This covers structural failure caused by manufacturing defects under normal use.

2. GENERAL 12-MONTH WARRANTY

Covers Goldfields manufacture and assembly:

  • Body construction

  • Composite & alloy panel assembly

  • Internal fit-out

  • Plumbing installation

  • Electrical installation

  • Cabinetry

  • Doors, hatches, locks, seals

  • Windows (including 3-stage positions on caravans/pods)

  • Steps, stabiliser legs

  • Rock sliders & external accessories

  • Tent/canvas/awning/zips/mesh (manufacturing defects only)

  • Gas installations (Goldfields-installed)

  • Internal fittings & fixtures

Canvas, zips, mesh, stitching, and vinyl are not covered for wear & tear, weather exposure, UV damage, or accidental tearing.

🚽 9. TOILET SYSTEMS

Thetford Portable Toilets (145 / 365 etc.)

  • 3-year manufacturer warranty
    Covers pump, seals, cassette integrity, and manufacturing defects.

🚫 10. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

  • Accident, collision, or impact damage

  • Misuse, negligence, or abuse

  • Overloading or incorrect towing setup

  • Water ingress from open windows/vents or aftermarket modification

  • Storm, hail, flood, fire, or natural disaster

  • Unauthorised repairs or modifications

  • Commercial hire, rental, or business use

  • Wear items including:

    • Tyres

    • Brake pads

    • Wheel bearings

    • Shock absorbers

    • Suspension bushes

    • Gas struts

    • Light globes

    • Seals & filters

🛠️ 11. WARRANTY PROCESS

If a warranty claim is required:

  1. Contact Goldfields Campers immediately.

  2. Provide photos/videos and a detailed description.

  3. Goldfields will determine whether the issue is:

    • A Goldfields workmanship fault

    • A component manufacturer warranty

  4. All repairs must be pre-approved by Goldfields.

  5. The trailer/van must be returned to Goldfields for assessment unless written approval is given for alternative arrangements.

For interstate and remote customers, Goldfields may send replacement parts for self-fit or local installation when suitable.

🚚 12. TRANSPORT & RECOVERY

This warranty does not cover:

  • Transport or towing costs

  • Recovery fees

  • Travel or accommodation expenses

  • Call-out charges

The customer must return the unit to Goldfields unless written approval is granted.

🔒 13. WARRANTY NON-TRANSFERABLE

Warranty applies to the original purchaser only
and is not transferable if the unit is sold.

🇦🇺 14. AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Your Goldfields unit comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
This warranty is in addition to those rights.

Return/Refund Policy

Please choose carefully to make sure the model of camper trailer or caravan suits you.

Wrong selection. change of mind, minor variations in model, colour, specifications, delays are not reason for a refund. Your deposit will be forfeited.


Goldfields Service Guide
To maintain your camper in top condition, we recommend the following service intervals. These can be carried out by Goldfields Campers or a qualified mechanic. The 1,000km check may be completed by mechanically minded owners using our checklist.

1,000km Post-Delivery Check – $250

Your camper’s first run-in check to catch any settling or early wear.
This includes:

  • Visual inspection of all nuts, bolts, and fasteners

  • Undercarriage check for signs of stress or movement

  • Wheel nut torque check

  • Tyre condition and pressure check

  • Basic brake operation check

  • Inspection of wiring and connections

  • Gas fittings and lines visually inspected

  • General check for leaks, rubbing cables, or loose panels

Can be completed by the owner if mechanically confident.

🔧 10,000km Full Maintenance Service – $599

Recommended every 10,000km to maintain safety, performance, and warranty coverage.
Service includes:

  • Repack and grease wheel bearings

  • Grease suspension arms and pivot points

  • Adjust brakes (electric, handbrake, drum/shoe clearance)

  • Check wheel alignment, tyre wear, pressure, and re-torque lug nuts

  • Inspect camber/caster bolts and alignment

  • Check and grease coupling, hitch, and jockey wheel

  • Inspect shock absorbers for leaks or damage

  • Check undercarriage for damage, or loose mounts

  • Safety chain and breakaway cable inspection

Note: If you're travelling off-road or on challenging 4WD tracks, it's your responsibility to ensure the camper is in safe working condition before departure.
