Diesel Heater Basics
Builds fitted with a diesel heater; use the matching controller manual.
Before starting, check that the heater’s air outlets and external intake and exhaust are unobstructed. Keep stored items clear of the heater and its hot components.
Start and stop the heater using its controller. Allow the normal shutdown and cool-down cycle to finish before isolating its electrical supply.
Controller menus, operating modes and fault codes vary. Follow the instructions for the heater and controller fitted to your van, rather than a guide for a similar-looking unit.
If the heater repeatedly fails to start, record the fault code and contact Goldfields. Do not repeatedly prime it or change service settings without the correct instructions.
Stop using the heater if you notice exhaust fumes inside, fuel leaks or unusual overheating.
For other heater brands, contact Goldfields for the matching instructions.
